WE'RE HERE! IT'S AWESOME!

We are in London. Home to 12-14 million people. That includes the wee Queen. First thing I noticed? It is cosmopolitan. 40% are "non-British." After that I revelled in the familiar. Old, brick buildings, cobblestone streets, giant cathedrals, tiny shops, traffic, accents. We are with friends in Bow--ie. East London. Think Whalley or the seedier parts of Langford. Sweet. It's so awesome. That's the first thing I said when we landed and I'm still saying it! I can hardly wait to jump on the number 8, a double decker that rides all the way downtown. I will be up top, in the front, camera in hand, marvelling in the rightness of it all.
